Vocabulary- “The most powerful weapon in language.”

Bansal Classes Ratlam

People tell me that they are not able to remember the vocabularies. At first I didn’t pay much attention to them, but when almost each of them complained the same I started researching on it and this inspired me to write this blog. Happy Reading!

Vocabulary is the master key that can open the door of any language.

Don’t use any Dictionary:

You must be raising your eyebrows but this is what I am suggesting you to do it. Don’t use any dictionary, not only the handbook but also the google dictionary that each of you do it to improve English language. I remember most of the vocabularies that I read but trust me I don’t do the things in which the way you do. So what do I actually do? How a person who could hardly speak in English before is capable to write a blog on English language?

Do use this:

If you really want to learn vocabularies, remember the most of it, use it in your day to day life then, all you need to do is to first set up your mindset like what am I gonna tell you and then execute the working plan to improve your communication skills.

Vocab Mindset:

To be successful you need that successful mindset in the same way, to learn or improve vocabularies you need a vocab mindset. Once you enter in the English language world there is no step back, there is nothing like impossible, you don’t need to learn all the synonyms-antonyms of English language, you even don’t need to revise them daily or throughout your day. To develop English comprehension; what you need is to execute the working plan, that’s it.

The Working Plan:

Here I am sharing the secret of learning vocabularies and to remember it for a long time:

  • Use flash cards/ pocket diary/ mobile diary.
  • Read as much as possible.
  • Target your man.
  • Know how your brain works.
  • Recharge before you run short.

Use Mobile Diary:

The toughest thing about vocabularies is not to learn them but to remember them. For this using flash cards, maintaining a pocket diary or even using mobile diary (Evernote app) are very effective ways or sources to remember the vocabularies. Once you note down the useful vocabularies; it is always easy to check, as it takes less efforts. Below in the caption there is a link to download Evernote app.

Read as much as possible:

Don’t use dictionary or google directly to mug up the vocabularies, synonyms-antonyms, idioms, phrases etc. rather start reading and read as much as possible. Read whatever creates interest in you. It could be an English newspaper, comics, magazines English novels.

The Times of India

Target your man:

Target your man means once you have learnt some vocabularies then you need to find your man with whom you can practice it (English language partner). You have to search and deliberately talk to the person on the topics in which you can use those vocabularies. It will not only prove effective but also motivate you to learn more and more vocabularies. So hunt your target person now. If not then below I am giving you a link of my Instagram page where you can practice in English language with me.

Know how your brain works:

Science has discovered that without any reinforcement or connections to prior knowledge, information is quickly forgotten—roughly 56 percent in one hour, 66 percent after a day, and 75 percent after six days. It means you need to revise the vocabulary accordingly. A better way to remember is to make a link and hence your brain can store it for a long time.
Example: Suppose you learnt the word Amend (I’ll amend my learning techniques)

Revise and Practice

Recharge before you run short:

What do you do when you see your mobile is going to be discharged soon? The same thing you need to do when you have learnt some new English words and practiced them enough. You need to learn some further new phrases, idioms, vocabularies, opposite words. By doing this cycle continuously you will be unstoppable in the outside English world.

Go and learn some fresh vocabularies

“Will I have to use a dictionary to read your book?” asked Mrs. Dodypol. “It depends,” says I, “how much you used the dictionary before you read it.”

It is easy to learn if you would take it with ease.
